Your numbers shouldn't depend on one person's memory.

You clicked because your close, budget, forecast or board pack is held together by one person or one file. Here's what we do about it, in five minutes.

Monthly financial statements went from 3 to 5 days of evenings and weekends to about 20 minutes, ready the day the books close.

“Last year, we worked with Charlie and MCC to automate our IFRS financial statements and monthly reporting in Vena. Previously, generating statements took 3-5 days with late nights and weekends. Now, it runs in under 20 minutes - saving time, reducing errors, and ensuring consistency. We also automated our reporting package, allowing earlier insights and better review before close. Charlie and his team supported us every step of the way.”

You already know the problem

We hear the same things in almost every first call. In buyers' own words:

“The file I prepare on a monthly basis, we give it to our bank for the covenant calculations.”
Controller, payments group, July 2026
“Multiple versions of Excel exchanged via email.”

companies named manual consolidation and the month-end close as the biggest burden.

  • 14 of 55

companies named a spreadsheet only one person really understands.

  • 9 of 55

companies named forecasting too slow to be useful.

What changes

The old way compared with The new way
The old wayThe new way
One person stitches entity exports together every month and is the only one who understands the eliminations. One consolidated model. Eliminations run the same way every month, whether that person is on holiday or not.
The budget is five versions of the same spreadsheet, emailed between department heads. One collection point, pre-filled with a first version so nobody starts from a blank template.
The forecast is stale by the time it's finished.A rolling forecast that takes new actuals without breaking.
Nobody is sure which version of the covenant file went to the bank. One current file, pulled from the same model as everything else, with a history of what changed.

How it works, in six steps

  1. 1

A 30-minute fit call. We tell you if we're not the right fit.

  2. 2

A readiness check on your data and access before any clock starts.

  3. 3

A working foundation on your own numbers in five business days.

  4. 4

Your first real close or forecast run through it, with us next to you.

  5. 5

Tailoring: drivers, scenarios and the reports your board reads.

  6. 6

Handover with training and written procedures, so your team runs it without us.

On the record

Reports for senior management at the click of a button, not rebuilt by hand in Excel

“Nobody needs to prepare that report manually in an Excel. The data all lives in the system and the report is written and mapped. So with click of a button, it will just produce those reports as we need.”

SooLin Lee

Corporate Director of Finance, Trump Hotels

A dental group went from 18 clinics to 36, and the budget, the board reporting and the covenant scenarios kept up.

“MCC helped us implement Vena to streamline budgeting, reporting, and forecasting across our 25 clinics. Even in the first year of implementation, we significantly reduced the time and manual effort required for our annual budget process - replacing multiple Excel versions with a much more efficient workflow.”

Reporting, planning and non-financial metrics in one model

“MCC did a fantastic job working with us on our unique requirements, our reporting requirements and our planning requirements. They were also able to help us pull in data that was non financial, that's going to help us track metrics that are important to our company and how we work. Very customizable, couldn't be happier.”

Christina Keel

CFO, Earth Systems

A short timeline, and a handover SOP with screenshots at the end

“The implementation process with MCC was a wonderful experience. Their patience, expertise, and training methods ensured not only that we would get up and running, but that I would have the tools to understand and maintain the new system. We had a short timeline, but I never felt rushed. At the end of the project, the team handed over a detailed SOP with screenshots — which I had not been expecting, but was delighted to receive. I cannot recommend MCC highly enough!”

Daeman Di Stefano

Director of Finance, Park Avenue Synagogue

NetSuite and the warehouse system in one consolidated model

“MCC connected NetSuite and the warehouse system into one consolidated data model, eliminating manual consolidation and saving time. Their templates enabled accurate seasonality planning and trailing 12-month analysis, making budgeting more reliable. Highly recommended.”

CFO, Arctic Cold

Days of manual work, now automated and trustworthy

“Working with MCC and Vena has been a game-changer for our finance team. MCC’s team brought a level of professionalism, technical expertise, and empathy. The collaboration transformed how our organization plans, monitors, and reports financials. What used to take days of manual work is now automated and trustworthy.”

What we put behind it

The five-day foundation starts only once readiness is confirmed, and it carries a delivery guarantee: if we miss it, 40% of the foundation fee comes back and we still finish the job. After adoption there's a 30-day warranty on what we built. We only guarantee what we control, which is why the readiness check comes first.

Is this a fit?

This fits if

  • There's a controller or a named owner of the numbers on your side.
  • You run more than one entity, answer to a lender or board, or plan headcount in a separate sheet.
  • Your team is ready to make decisions quickly during setup.
  • You're open to starting from a proven structure and tailoring it.
  • Your forecast is stale before the meeting it was built for.

This isn't for you if

  • Nobody on your side owns the numbers, and nobody will.
  • You need a fully custom design signed off before you see anything working.
  • You're looking for someone to run your finance function for you.
  • You want software to fix the process on its own, with nobody owning it.

If we're not the right fit, we'll say so on the call.

Told not to buy yet, and why.

“As a CFO building out finance from the ground up, I was looking for strategic clarity and practical guidance-not a sales pitch. Charlie took the time to understand both our current state and where we're heading. He helped me validate that staying lean with Excel and a fractional resource was the right approach for now. His advice was thoughtful, candid, and grounded in real-world experience. I'd recommend Charlie to any finance leader navigating FP&A system decisions.”

Usually that's the controller or the FP&A lead. They know where the bodies are buried, and they're the one whose weekends we're trying to give back.

Questions people ask before booking

Will we depend on you forever?

No, and we plan for that from the first week. Handover comes with training and written procedures, so changing a template or adding an entity doesn't need a call with us. If you want us around later, that's your choice, not a lock-in.

What happens if it doesn't work out?

We check readiness before anything starts, so most bad fits are caught on the first call, not three weeks in. The five-day foundation carries a delivery guarantee (miss it and 40% of the foundation fee comes back), and there's a 30-day warranty after adoption. If we're not the right fit, we'll say so before you sign.

What does a partner add that the software company doesn't?

The software is the instrument. We bring the finance side: how your entities, eliminations, headcount and covenant tests actually need to work, built by people who have run a close themselves. Then we stay until your team can run it without us.

How much of our team's time does this take?

Most of it lands on one person, usually the controller: the readiness check, quick answers on mapping decisions, and the first real cycle. The rest of the team joins for training near the end.
