Non-profit FP&A your finance team can keep running after we leave

The budget lives in one file, one person knows how it works, and the board still wants the numbers on time. We set up a budget and reporting process your team understands and can maintain.

A short timeline, and a handover SOP with screenshots at the end

“The implementation process with MCC was a wonderful experience. Their patience, expertise, and training methods ensured not only that we would get up and running, but that I would have the tools to understand and maintain the new system. We had a short timeline, but I never felt rushed. At the end of the project, the team handed over a detailed SOP with screenshots, which I had not been expecting, but was delighted to receive. I cannot recommend MCC highly enough!”

One fund, a simple budget and a board pack that already ties? This page won't add much. Start with the budget or the close.

Where does non-profit FP&A break down?

Usually with the person, not the tool. The team is small, there is no time to retrain anyone, and when the one person who knows the file is busy or leaves, the process stops.

  1. One person holds the budget. If they are out, nobody else can update it.

  2. Small team, no slack. There is no time to learn a complicated system.

  3. Changes are risky. A change to the process can break something nobody tests until month-end.

  4. The board still expects clean numbers. A small team doesn't change what the board needs.

14 of the 55 companies in our review of sales calls (September 2026) named a spreadsheet only one person really understands.

What non-profit finance teams say

“The MCC team was very helpful in fulfilling our request. The MCC team has a strong understanding of Vena and knew exactly what needed to be done, which made the process more efficient. They gave us plenty of time to test the process and ensure everything was working properly, and even met with us to walk through everything and make sure we did not run into any issues. In addition, they offered to remain available in case any issues arise as a result of the changes we implemented. We truly appreciate their expertise and partnership, and we look forward to continuing to work with them.”

Days of manual work, now automated and trustworthy

“Working with MCC and Vena has been a game-changer for our finance team. MCC’s team brought a level of professionalism, technical expertise, and empathy. The collaboration transformed how our organization plans, monitors, and reports financials. What used to take days of manual work is now automated and trustworthy.”

Questions from non-profit finance teams

Will our team be able to maintain it after go-live?

Yes. At Park Avenue Synagogue, the training was built so the director of finance could understand and maintain the system. At the end, the team handed over a detailed step-by-step guide with screenshots.

We already use Vena. Can you change the process we have?

Yes. Catalyst Miami asked MCC to change their existing Vena process. They had time to test it, a walkthrough of every change, and MCC stayed available afterwards in case anything came up.

How long does it take, and how much of our team's time?

The foundation takes five business days once readiness is confirmed. Your next month-end or forecast is the first real cycle, and tailoring runs over the weeks after. On your side: you own access and exports, answer mapping questions fast, ideally the same day, and run the first cycle with us beside you. Park Avenue Synagogue's setup took about three months. ASTC's implementation took about 1 month.
