Vena on NetSuite for a cold storage and refrigerated logistics business
Arctic Cold runs refrigerated warehouses, where storage volume is the number the business runs on. Its finance team wanted warehouse volumes back in monthly reporting and its site debt modelled alongside the P&L, instead of worked out on the side.

What we built
- Implemented Vena on NetSuite
- Connected the warehouse billing system so volumes load into monthly reporting
- A debt model for every site, covering term loans and revolvers, feeding debt service and DSCR
- EBITDA calculated from GL roll-ups, with no manual entry
- Budget-versus-actual reporting by cooler and freezer volume
In their words
“MCC connected NetSuite and the warehouse system into one consolidated data model, eliminating manual consolidation and saving time. Their templates enabled accurate seasonality planning and trailing 12-month analysis, making budgeting more reliable. Highly recommended.”

Three entities, two ERPs, and the hardest line in the consolidation finally shows its math, after moving from Planful to Vena.
“I think Vena is much more flexible for our needs and more robust than Planful was. All we did with Planful was upload trial balances. So the fact that Vena has all of our general ledger detail right there is extremely helpful.”

Monthly reporting moved out of manual Excel and into Vena, and now it flags when someone changes a closed period in NetSuite.
“I found inconsistencies from how I was doing things before, and now this forces a level of consistency. And frankly it better highlights when I find things that we have gone back and changed in NetSuite in closed periods. All of a sudden, wait a minute, this looks different than how I reported last month. So it helps me catch things that we shouldn't have done.”
